Posted - 23 Sep 2005 : 04:16:36 Hi Alessio...
I was hoping that the new version of the XMM program would resolve this issue but it looks like I've still got the same or similar problem.
I still get the same error messages when I start XMM for the first time after I set the default database. However, when I start it the second time, XMM doesn't ask to set the default database but I just get the same messages about the errors.
I tried installing the new update version first. When that didn't work, I un-installed XMM and installed the full version (4.6b) - same problem.
Please let me know if there is any information you need to troubleshoot this problem.
The last resort I have is to try and re-install my whole system. Please don't have me do that...LOL.
Thanks

Posted - 17 Sep 2005 : 08:48:56 Hi....
Yes, I still have the same problems. I've done everything I can think of short of re-installing my whole PC again. Please come up with a fix. I have about 30 movies to add to the database.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out.
Best Regards -Timbits

Posted - 30 Aug 2005 : 06:37:18 Hi Joe....
I tried what you said about rebuilding the database. The rebuild was successful but I got the same problem when I tried to set the default moive database again. did you install anything new or remove anything from your computer before you tried this?
I hope we find the solution soon.
Best Regards; Tim

Posted - 27 Aug 2005 : 17:26:26 When EMM starts up you get to choose your data base. Well all I did was the rebuild of my data base. I'm not sure if that fixed it or if it was just a fluke.
Hope that helps.
Also thanks Alessio for all.

Posted - 25 Aug 2005 : 06:37:03 Really..... Please try to remember what you did. I've been trying myself and I can't get it running. I have about 20 more items to add to the database but I can't... DAMN!
Please E-mail me at Tim.Hansen@rogers.com if you can remember anything that you did to get it working again. I'm kind of getting deparate. I haven't heard from Alessio in a few weeks now.
Best remembering; -Tim

Posted - 07 Aug 2005 : 08:26:46 Hi Guys,
This problem is related to these OCX files. I am working to substitute these OCX with internal code in XMM, so in future you should not have problems anymore.
Thank you!

Posted - 06 Aug 2005 : 08:00:32 Hi There....
It appears I have exactly the same problem with the same results from your recommendation. I tried deleting those .OCX files and re-installied v4.5 Build 1 but I have the same problem with the runtime error messages. I even went so far as de-installing other programs that I have recently installed - mostly games. I also tried installing previous versions of Movie Manager (from 4.3 and up).
Please HELP!

Posted - 29 Jul 2005 : 14:47:27 I've done everything in your last message and even taken it one step further. I shutdown almost every program running in the back ground (yahoo, AVG, etc...). Still no luck. I get the same error. |

Posted - 21 Jul 2005 : 03:54:32 I uninstalled the 4.3 and installed 4.4
No luck. same problem
In the install process it said that the existing file COMDLG32.OCX was newer and asked if I should keep the file. Of course I said yes but could this be part of the problem? |
