For exaple: I wanted to import info for FRIDAY NIGHT 2 from IMDB
I made a mistake and import info for FRIDAY NIGHT 1. Then I deleted the imported data from boxes, repaired the title in import again. I choose correctly imdb link for Friday night 2, but the script imported 1. part AGAIN. No matter how many times I tried.
I had to deletes the movie, created a neew one and import from there.

And another strange thing happened with a cover. After I copies a cover from first entry on FRIDAY NIGHT PART 2 and paste it to a new entry with a same title. Then I deleted the first entry, cause I could't import the correct data.
Now every movie which didn't had a cover yet, now has a Friday Night 2 cover.
And more... If I add, delete of change order of covers on one movie, it changes on all movies with this cover. The name of the cover is always the sam as from the first entry. |

Posted - 02 Jun 2006 : 17:20:12 one addition to this:
when importing a second time, xmm does not overwrite the fields which already contain something. but often i would like to import for example with another script some other perhaps more detailed info. the only way to do this now is to delete the fields first or even to delete the movie.
it would be great if you could add an option to let us choose between:
a) to not overwrite anything (like it is now) b) to overwrite all fields with the new data from script c) to overwrite only selected fields with newer data
