Hi,

i'm using XMM since Version 4.8 and up to now, my import with the OFDB.DE-Script was ok. With XMM v. 5.2.8 and OFDB.DE-Script below I get no plot, picture, year ... when using the Script.
Has anybody the same problem ?

XMM v. 5.2.8
OFDB.DE-Sript from 16/Mar/2006

Really strange, maybe the Engine was "out of mind" for a while.

Please let me know if this happens again.

Thank you,

Alessio

Still very buggy.

10% work.
70% just stop in the middle of import.

10% end in an never ending loop, that make it necessary to kill the task.

So it's not useful...

Mh, same problem like "Saw": I can't import "Stalker"
I don't know why

But the " seems not the solution, because by some movies you need the '. So i had add these lines:

#FIND#='#03# #ONERROR#=*STOP*
#FIND#="#03# #ONERROR#=*STOP*

at the moment both types of movies work.

But this is not bug free, because sometime i get this:

And he adds the last movie of the list.

Has anyone other a solution?

the script still has some bugs, when there are more matches, for each hit the error "Can´t Find The Word on the #FIND' Instruction: 'Line: 89 " appears. import does then not work. (you can try it with the movie "yesterday")
(i should have the actual script as online-update does not show any more available updates)

another problem i had: importing a cover from clipboard does not work, also importing a jpg-file as cover from hard-disk brought no result. there just didn´t appear any cover. (the cover sure was in the clipboard as i could paste it e.g. to wordpad).

regards
avi

Update: i updated the script with the " instead of ' so now it works.
the script hasn´t been updated via online update. perhaps you add it when you have time so the other´s get the corrected version when updating thank you

Update2: adding covers from clipboard or harddisc now works - i delted the movie completely, added it again, made a new ofd-import and all is working good so far ... :-)

That´s service but when I try it i get this message "Can´t Find The Word on the #FIND' Instruction: 'Line: 89 " and he add the wrong movie to the database.

edit:

Problem found. replace #FIND#='#03# #ONERROR#=*ASK* to #FIND#="#03# #ONERROR#=*ASK*

now is this script perfect, 1000 thanks

@Alessio Viti

In MagicScript is this option set. I have tried with the OFDB and IMDB scripts. IMDB sets title and orginal tile from the internet to the emm database, OFDB sets only orginal title

edit:
I have make some screenshots, i hope you see the mistake.

picture 1: add movie
picture 2: MagicScript ettings
picture 3: update with OFDB
picture 4: update with IMDB

Thanks Alessio!

Hi,

To update the title you must configure correctly the MegicScript Engine.

There is an option in the configuration window that enable engine to replace the title with the one imported from internet.

Let me know!

Comments are now imported. But the old problem, is still exists.

The OFDB-script doesn´t update the title, the script updates only the orginal title

Hi Guys,

I have upload the OFDB script just now. I have fix some problems, but the script fails to download the comments sometimes because OFDB server replace the correct webpage with a banner.

I will try to find a workaround, meantime please write me if script works better.

i just wanted to say that i have also the problem that important informations ar missing for example the plot. The comment is often unreadable, it is a conglomeration of letters and numbers.please fix this bug
Jay Pee Posted - 21 Aug 2006 : 14:53:49
I noticed that the movie Comment is missing often. After import, 50% of all movies aren't imported with the comment. ? But if you look manuel with your browser you can find comments!!

@Alessio Viti

Try to make a Movie called Matrx (without i), now import the Title with OFDB.DE, now you can see that the orginal title is "Matrix, The" but the main title is "Matrx", too.
The OFDB.DE script doesn´t import the german title thats the problem.

The error with not importing all information is really annoying. I'm importing 100 movies with the ofdb script. I'm importing everything but not the picture and media language. The import works for 20 or 30 movies, but then only the first fields (original title, director, starring and genre) are filled. The other fields remain empty. :-(

IMPORTANT

Found a fix for the "Umlaut" Problem:
Just replace all ä,ü,ö with normal Letters (a, u, o). If replacing all "Umlaute", and using the correct title, it will find the Movie in OFDB (i tried it with the movies: Eine fur 4, Schone tote Madchen, Feuerholle, Die todliche Freundin and Todlicher Umweg, it worked perfectly)

Maybe you should public this info, if it wasn't publiced before.

The problem for the missing informations is... difficult, but maybe it is a problem of the script. If you are importing some movies, it works and works and sometimes, the connection times out. After this, i'm unable to download the plot/picture etc.
If i then wait some time (about 10min to 1 hour) and try it again, it workes again...
Maybe Server is blocking something?
carsten Posted - 12 Aug 2006 : 13:20:35
I don't have the problem that some infos are not importet.
If plot is not importet than simply because there is no plot info in the ofdb (for a movie).
But here some movie titles that are not found at all (because of german umlauts)
Eine für 4
Schöne tote Mädchen
Feuerhölle
Die Tödliche Freundin
Tödlicher Umweg
