1. You add new movie and import cover
2. You delete the movie
3. You add a new movie (movie gets the same ID as previous)
4. New cover could not be imported properly, old cover is still in the cover folder

Thanks, Allesio

This is just a personal opinion, but I would be inclined to leave the "MovieID" option in place and just remove the column in the "My Movies" field via the "Fields Manager" button at the bottom. The "MovieID" only represents the number of movies you've added to the database in that respect so that if you delete one, then XMM deletes it from the total. Deleting the option to add an ID altogether prevents you from sorting the data when you use a script to update titles. It's just a little more time-consuming to have to search for a title rather than numerical ID if you have a lot of movies in your database in my opinion.

If you want to make sure that the cover has been deleted, navigate to: C:\Program Files\eXtreme Movie Manager\Databases\example_cover and then delete it manually if it's still there.

Hmm, reading this I get the impression that is it possible to have the cover names WITHOUT the MovieID number in front. Is that correct? If it is, how do I enable this since I would like to have the name only???

Thanks

@Alessio

I only use %ID% tag for naming covers. I guess that's way I had these problems. Anyway, I'ma happy with the 5.3.9 solution!

Thanks

Ops, sorry Mawu, I will change this

@Alessio

This new feature must(!!!) be configurable. When you link more than one movie to a cover this cover shouldn't be deleted at all! I have linked many high resolution covers to movies that are on different media in my collection (VHS,DVD,Divx). So it's space saving to have this covers only one time stored on harddisk. Furthermore I do not use MovieID in cover name as the cover is easier to find by browsing in my cover print program (xMM unfortunately doesn't provide dvd cover printout). Maybe when you delete a movie there should be a request if the corresponding cover should be deleted.

Bye

Hi,

This should happens only if the new movie you add has the same title, but if you add a movie with another title should work correctly.

Please confirm me this, or I will investigate.

Alessio
