Hello,
I have created a new database and started importing using IMDB script.
I see the program downloading covers into the cover folders but it doesnt display them. I think there is a problem with naming of cover image files.
For example, there is a file in my covers folder named as %MOV#304;EID%-%T#304;TLE%.jpg ... %MOV#304;EID%-%T#304;TLE%_4.jpg and so on...
So it also displays same cover for all movies.
Where is the problem?
How can i fix this?

Ok. I fixed the problem. I had the problem probably because i am using turkish keyboard. So on options general settings tab, i changed default picture mask value %MovieID%-%Title% with %MOVIEID%-%TITLE% . It works fine now.

What I did when I installed the program for the first time was to delete all the existing data such as the movies that were already in there together with the Actors dbase and the TV Shows. The main reason I purchased a licence for XMM was to have a quick reference guide for the DVDs already in my possession. Prior to that, I'd inadvertently bought a second copy of a DVD I already had without realizing. That's happened at least three times too. :(

As for buying new titles, I usually just go to the IMDB site and cross reference user opinions about a specific title before deciding whether it's worth getting or not. I also tend to make a note of a particular IMDB user name if he or she recommends a title which later turns out to be crap. I'll subsequently disregard anything that same user recommends in future if that happens.

.NET reinstallation had no effect. So i am reinstalling XMM.

Unfortunately no. I did what you suggested but its the same. The new cover files have the same filename format and its still showing the old cover for this new manually added movie.
I am using 5.3.9.0 Deluxe edition. I was already using .Net framework so i didnt install it. But now i am reinstalling it just to be sure.

Try deleting one of your DVDs, then add it manually via Add Movies --> Manually by title. Then click the Internet button and choose to import from IMDB for just that single title. Does it work when you do it that way?
