Posted - 18 Dec 2006 : 14:12:08 eXMM 5.6.5, script KINOPOISK, movie "Dark, The"
When the script try add covers to database (#TAKEPOSTER#), it generate error with IrfanVie in box header: JPG save error! Can't open file for writing: c:\Program Files\eXtreme Movie Manager\Databases\SVT_cover\121- Dark,-The.jpg
With other movie its not happens. And with movies with same name structure its not happens too ("Net, The" for example).
As I can see in TempDir, the cover was taken from file.

You mean cyrillic symbol "a" with code 0x430 in unicode and 0xE0 in Win-1251.
Same unicode ****

Posted - 19 Dec 2006 : 12:35:06 Yes, this is possible. I have simular problems with cyrillic charasters sometimes - for example if the normal character 'a' is replaced involuntary with cyrillic character '#1072;'. You are from Russia - so i suspose you know what i mean :)

Posted - 19 Dec 2006 : 12:23:32 I pack whole folder eXtreme Movie Manager and will keep it.
batrado, 1) Field Cover in DB contains "121-######Dark,-The.jpg" , where ###### - spaces, exactly is the same as in error window. Unfortunately, forum does not allow more than one spaces continuously.
2) I check the folder and there is no jpg files starts from 121-
I clear Cover field in DB, and all goes fine as usual.
I try to simulate this situation by hand ( typing same name, as I see) but no luck.
So, I think it was some unprinted symbol in Cover field in DB, which is prohibited in file names. How it can appear in this field - God knows.
IMHO, for avoid same thing in future, will be nice to check and truncate prohibited symbols in file names. |

Posted - 19 Dec 2006 : 11:44:26 Custler, do you have any value in field 'Cover' in your DB at this movies? And do you check if in 'c:\Program Files\eXtreme Movie Manager\Databases\SVT_cover\' exists cover '121- Dark,-The.jpg'? Because i suspose the field 'Cover' is empty and the cover file exists in your Covers directory. The script try to import cover and return error because the file exists.

Posted - 18 Dec 2006 : 16:18:43 I found that the same sheet happens with other scripts! I tryed IMDB, DVDEMPIRE, FILM.TV.IT - and receive exactly the same error window. I check eXMM folders for duplicates or other strange things. All looks like usual and nothing strange.
The error goes out only when I delete this movie (The Dark 2005), and make it as new with new id.
I leave "Pink Floyd The Wall" as it is (with error) if you interesting to research in this situation.

because i think the pictures are in use or corrupted or security reasons because the error is not the fold of xmm but of the picture

But I cannot add covers to the above movies from file (in cover manager).
