Hi,

There are some old bugs, that are basic and very annoying.
I hoped that with the new version they will go, but it is not so.
Therefore, i decided to write about it.

1. Paste in "Quick Edit View" will be not saved until you
print or delete something in a field.

2. A new bug. ADIT/EDIT Movie Information now always saves all
information even if you go out with cancel.

3. Import of media information for MKV and MP4 formats do not
work properly. For MKV it is now a little bit better, but
still there is no information about bitrates. For MP4 there
is no any information at all. (I tested this on files about 4.3 Gb.)
Basically i am using only these two formats, plus standard DVD,
therefore, it is a big trouble for me.

MediaInfo has no problems on these files and i must manually
copy all necessary fields. If XMM uses MediaInfo, it should be
not so difficult at least to import complete output of MediaInfo
as plain text in the field "Notes" in the same way as for DVD?
It would be very useful.

4. It is not a bug, but a strong basic limitation of XMM. It is not
possible to store information about format of particular soundtracks
and subtitles. For example,

Audio 1: English, DTS, 1500Kbps, ...
Audio 2: German, AC3, 448 Kbps, ...
Audio 3: English, AC3, 256 Kbps, ...

The same for subtitles.

XMM is a nice tool with many advantages, but these problems
are forcing me now to look for another one...

Hi Allessio,

I want to ask you, if there will be a new version soon with support for multiple audio tracks? (as mentioned above under topic 4!)
Nowadays, many movie files (MKV!) include more than just one audio track and it would be really helpful if XMM would support that.

Are you working on that basic feature? Myself, i have several hundred mkv's with more than just one audio track...

Kind regards, Swissguy

Hi Hauru,

I know I have to work very much on XMM, I hope really to fix everything soon.

Thank you!

Alessio
