Posted - 27 Mar 2008 : 19:12:53 Hi notaleo,
This is "normal", it's like XMM is launched for the first time because now all settings are stored in "config.ini" file.
I have made this for 2 reason, the first is that you can now export/backup also your configuration, the second is that, if you have problems, you can send the file to me to better find the bug.

Posted - 27 Mar 2008 : 18:52:12 same problem after update 6.1.8.0 i had to locate and open my database then re-assign default scripts, and the Help menu shortcut to What's New didn't work either, the amazon script didn't download much info either but i just tried 1 movie and it may be a seprate issue

Posted - 27 Mar 2008 : 18:08:26 Same problem here... But its not a new problem. Monthes ago (maybe the first v6 release?) i had the same problem. I think the problem is, that XMM is looking for the database and everything in "my folder", but i guess a lot users have it still anywhere else. For me its in the extreme movie manager folder.
Installing the full version fixes the problem. |

Posted - 27 Mar 2008 : 08:32:37 It worked now for me What i have done?
Installed a completely new version from the homepage - told the program at installation where i want to install XMM - moved all files and folder in the right folder after installation because XMM installed 90% into my documents folder (in german "eigene Dateien") instead of the folder i told him - moved all old databases and templates into the right folders - changed the config.ini to the right places - made all settings colors again - and than it worked for me now.
I hope you do not change this again - and i hope the next update will work correctly.
Please please have a look with the next update that all files and folder will be installed into the directory i (the user) uses.

Posted - 26 Mar 2008 : 13:56:09 Hi,
Please go in the "file" menu -> Open database, and now select your MDB database file. I don't know where is located, should be under the "my documents\extreme movie manager\databases\" folder.
Please let me know.

Posted - 26 Mar 2008 : 12:32:46 DatabaseFile=C:\xmm\eXtreme Movie Managerdatabases\example.mdb
thats the problem i think or one of the problems
my folder was all the time DatabaseFile=C:\xmm\databases\example.mdb
but even i i change the path the config.ini overwrites it every time |

Posted - 26 Mar 2008 : 09:28:05 Hi Yaqwa,
I have change the way XMM store the setting, now it saves all in a config.ini file.
Please close XMM and edit this config.ini file, it's empty or not?
Thank you,
Alessio
