I just noticed that when I try to add a picture to a movie on my work PC I see an error message on the status bar of XMM saying: "53-File not found"
I selected the file from after clicking "Add a cover Manually in first place", so I know the file I want to add exists. |

Okay.
I've now updated to 6.2.2.0 at home too and there everything seems to work okay.
With version 6.2.1.0 I can actually add pictures but as I wrote above, all pictures are linked to all movies (pics named _1.jpg etc...)
I think the issue must have something to do with file permissions on my work computer although I have set full admin privileges to XMM and full open access to the location of the database.
I am running trial versions on all these computers, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. |

I have tried the new version and on my work PC I just cannot add pictures at all. I suspect it has to do with permissions on the computer. I have full admin access and run the program with admin access but somehow XMM just doesn't copy images to the right folder and they don't turn up in the directory with Covers. (regardless of the location of the database and the file permissions that I set).
On my home PC I don't seem to have this problem (both XP SP2) |

Hi Alessio,
I notice that on the posted config file there is something odd with the cover buffer path:
BufferCoverPath=E:\eXtreme Movie Manager\\TempDir\buffercover.jpg
there is a double backslash in front of \\TempDir. I have the same thing in my config file and that might explain why the file isn't copied to the right location.
I see that when I open the database in Access a filename for the cover is added, but the actual file is not copied. (this is on my work pc)
On my home PC the system does seem to add pictures to the movies but the files don't get a descriptive filename. I added American gangster and Moonwalker and both showed the same sets of covers all named _1.jpg _2.jpg _3.jpg etc. In older versions that didn't happen.
I am running XP SP2 on both PC's I've tried.
I'll try the new version next.
I liked the idea of having an ini file rather than registry but I guess we can live without it ;) |

Da quando ho aggiornato all'ultima versione (prima la 6.1.9.0. ora la 6.2.1.0) non riesco pił a scaricare le copertine. L'operazione non riesce neanche se provo a scaricare manualmente le copertine e a inserirle con manager copertine.

no pics where stored!!!
Update woring real good without any big problems
(just one Config.IrfanViewEXE=c:\Eigene Dateien\eXtreme Movie Manager\configuration\Irfanview.exe)
because i stored all xmm in c:\eigene Privat\
but this was the only problem i got from the update.
But
the same as the last versions - no pics where stored!!!

Hi Everyone,
I've updated to version 6.2.1.0 from 6.1.6.0 (to which I returned as the last correctly working version) and still seem to have the
start-up problems I've had on all version after 6.1.6.0. For now I've been able to do some "work arounds", but I hope these are just temporary
and a solution can be found to make the newer versions work correctly like version 6.1.6.0 did.
Upon further checking I find that I have no actors pictures or bio information. Movie covers seem to be correct.

I have put online the 6.2.1.0, I have make some changes but I am not sure that the problem is fixed at 100% (I cannot reproduce it in my PC).
I have add new variables to config.ini to better solve the problem, so if you still have it please send the config.ini to me.

I have the same issue. I am still testing the software to figure butout if I want to buy it this is a definite showstopper.
I have noticed that the actual cover is downloaded into my temp directory from the internet but it's just not added to the covers directory. Adding a cover manually doesn't work either. If I put a cover with the right name into that directory XMM does recognize the file. |

sorry - this day i wanted to include one movie and the pic is not stored again.
I do not know what the problem is.
I only know that in 6.1.7.0 it workes correctly and all other version coming after that are not working
The cover was listed in the movie but not stored and i can not include any cover

What i have done?
same as befor!!!!
Installed the full version than copied all databases templates into the folder moved all from my documents to the folder i told xmm to install changed a bit in the cofig.inio and than it works
hey i know you where ill but please please try to fix that - i do not want to install every time thefull version and change a lot
