Hi Guys,

I will try to upload this morning a new release that avoid this problem.

Usually I use the Jet.OLEDB.4.0 for connect to database, but seem that someone have problem with it, so I have switch to Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0.

I will revert it back.

Thank you,

Alessio

Please, is it possible to ship a version of XMM that doesn't require me to download microsoft stuff? I don't like to install software to use this software, really, especially not MS database stuff that I can not use in any other way anyway

Confirm this works. Download and install then XMM works fine.
the english link is : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=7554f536-8c28-4598-9b72-ef94e038c891
or search microsoft download section for your country/language for "2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components"

this works on MS Vista Home Premium without MS Office installed.

Probably you haven't the latest MS Office.
I solved the problem installing the Office 2007 Jet Database Engine. You can find it here (this is the italian version):

Hi, i'm new on this forum, but i'm existing user of XMM
i'm running Vista Home Premium, and this morning i'd update latest version of XMM (7.0.1.8) & i have the same problem with Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.12.0. I can't see my DB, and if I try to load existing data base the system show me warning : "The provider of Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.12.0 is not registered on the local machine"
I can't find any solution for this problem.
Any idea whats happend to XMM ?
the previous (7.0.1.7) ver. was ok. and it works correctly (but little slow)
thanks
Tomek
