When doing multiple imports the video/movie length is increased with every other file.

I assume it adds the last length data to the next one.

Yes but sometimes, I just copy the movies to a portable media, after adding them to the library

I had this problem too. Just highlight all your movies and then in advanced tools "reread codec information". That will fix all movie length.
