Load Saved Layout Doesn't Work

eXtreme Movie Manager 7.0.3.6

I saved 2 different kinds of layouts in Views > Save Layout. However, when I go to Load Layout (states "Preview Not Available") and click OK, nothing happens, the Layouts do not load. I also tried putting a checkmark in the box next to "Load also the Layout of Grid and QuickEdit!" and still, nothing happens, the Layouts I saved do not load.

I use Vista Ultimate 64-bit and have eXtreme Movie Manager.exe set to always run as administrator.

The new version 7.0.3.6 looks very sharp!

Hi there, another question on this topic:

What is the difference between "Views" and "Layouts"?

Apparently, both store settings as XML files (groups of 11 or more items) in the "Layouts" folder, which contains the standard folders "default", and "view_1" (plus any more added by the user)...

Accordingly, we have two ways to save those XML files:

1.) save as 'View' using the 'Save' button in "View" menuband (where the default name is filled as "view_1" in a simple text box), or
2.) using the option "Save Layout" in the "LayoutView customization" dialog window (2nd tab), which is available from the "thumbnail grid" only (opening a standard "Save as" dialog).

Questions: Do these 2 options both save identical data? And how can I save ALL my layout information in just 1 group (for example, "view_1"), to avoid having it spread among several files/ folders? Will they all be loaded on eMM startup?

Many thanks in advance!
(Bottomline: Having many options is great, but simplicity has its benefits ... ;-)

Hi,

I will try to make some tests, maybe there is a bug.

If you try to load the default layout works?

Alessio
