Hello.
I just found out this nice program and it would definitely be all that i've been looking for if i could solve two little problems:
1) When i use Mass CD/DVD add, i can add the first disc fine, but when it asks for the next dvd and i press OK, the program hangs and then exits by itself without an error message. It just crashes.
2)The other problem i found is that it adds 1 movie for every file i have on the disc. Some of my movies are split in 2 files and i can't find a way to join them after. Maybe if there was an option to merge 2 entries in db, i don't know...if there is another way of handling movies on multiple files, please let me know, but i did search before posting :D

Hi,
I dont wanna start a new topic about this mass cd/dvd add prosedure issue. I've just installed XMM 5.2.5.0 and trid to add my dvds that contain divx and xvid movies. But, when i choose the drive and click the start button, its speed up the drive but nothing happens. Then the drive tray ejected and "Waitin for CD/DVD" dialog apears again and again. I also tried another dvd drive but same thing happened. So, anyone knows something about this problem?

Sorry for my late reply! I have made some tests with new 5.0 and all should be OK here. I really hope to release it in one-two weeks.

I´ve also got the same problem - XMM just exits without warning after it seemingly have tried to extract the information from the second DVD if I use mass CD/DVD add. I am no expert, but maybe it has got something to do with explorer/autorun or software associated with drives - musicplayersoftware etc.-... ???
Has anboy found a solution for this bug ?????
If so, please publish it.

I have same problem .... every time I insert second DVD the program just crash ... I'm using 4.7 Built 1 and this is preatty annoying ... is there any way to correct this problem ?
And one more thing ... is it possible that somehow EMM doesn't reset Starting Box ID ?

One other thing I noticed...as soon as the second cd goes in the "status" dialog says "Opening CD Drive..." although it then spins up as if reading and then ejects after 10 seconds (as it normally would). But, no info read, just "No Name" again..... |

Hi,
I have more or less the same problem as above.
Mass add cd or add cd/dvd give the same problem, they read the first cd/dvd correctly with all info correct, Then ejects, next one goes in , it spins up and then ejects but no info is read, continues this way. Comes up with "NO Name" titles and no info when saved apart from the first CD.
Have tried 3 different drives etc but always the same. Installed EMM on another PC and it works fine.
Have never had this problem before after 1000 plus entries.
Using 2.9 Build 4.
Any ideas? |

Same happend to me with 2.9b4.
Another Thing:
It would be best if u check the files for same ending chars.
eg: Shougun-CD1.avi and Shogun-CD2.avi should be added as ONE Movie

Just to say that the exact same thing happened to me as well (using 2.9 Build3)..
Also, since the program reads the file and media information, shouldn't it be filling the "Media Label" info as well?

Hi
the same thing happen with me.
The 2nd dvd and bye XMM.
I have a hundred of DVDs to sort out. I agree with this merging option would be great.

1) Maybe there is a bug, I will make some tests, but I haven't notice this before.
2)I can make a new feature for "join" two or more movies, at this time there isn't a way for do that automatically.
