Not sure if this is a bug or something I'm missing, but I recently moved my database to a new computer (Windows 7) and set up the database at "C:\Program Files (x86)\eXtreme Movie Manager 7\Databases". When I add a movie to the database, it saves the covers at "C:\Users\Paul\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\eXtreme Movie Manager 7". The program can't find them there (it is looking for the covers at "C:\Program Files (x86)\eXtreme Movie Manager 7\Databases"). Any suggestions?

Great! But then the error must be malformed images or wrong file format/extension.

I figured it out! In configuration / general settings, 'Use IrfanView to Covert images' was deselected. I selected it and XMM started working again!

No, the covers are in the correct folder. I do suspect that it is some problem related to win7, but I have no idea what. I was running the program on Windows 7 and it was working, but I backed up the database and re-installed Windows 7 on my computer, and since then it has not been working. But as I said earlier, I haven't been able to get it to work on an XP virtual machine, so I am at a loss.

Can it be that the newly imported covers are stored in an other folder?
I have manually moved my database often for testing purposes but without such problems. Maybe it's depending on Win7?

More info. I added a movie to my database including a cover. When I select the movie from the list, the cover is not displayed. When I edit the movie, the cover is displayed in the edit window. I've tried different moviecards and the behavior is the same in all. Again, this behavior only occurs for newly added movies; existing movies in the database are displayed correctly. I've tried installing XMM in a virtual Windows XP machine and I still get the same behavior.

This is becoming very frustrating.

It gets worse. I read in an unrelated forum post that XMM might not be able to write to the "programs" folder in Windows 7, so I moved my database to "C:\Databases". Now, when I add a movie, the program does save the cover to the correct location ("C:\Databases\movies_cover") but the program does not display it, even though it correctly displays the covers from the pre-existing movies in the database.
