EMM 7.2.0.0 has hit a major slow down ( Adding - Edit has been a pain )for me, I noticed it slow the version that preceded 7.2.0.0... it's not my sys ( Phenom II X6 1090T - 16g mem ), so I uninstalled 7.2 and reinstalled 7.1.3.6 and EMM is rocking again... W00T...
On a good note I've been using EMM since 09 and it is the greatest thnx Alessio and team.

Yes, that moviecard is a bit slow, but the reason is that do tons of things! Like Awards, pictures etc...
Btw, in the installation I have add back also other "old" moviecards, so for people that don't care about all function of the big_moviecard but only want speed they can use these oldest one.

I had a similar problem too. Occured using only one card html: movie_bigcover.htm. Any other works perfectly and does not slow down the program. |

I have also noticed the windows are slow to open since the skins have been added to all content windows.
I did switch off the skins, (had to do it in the config.ini as the tick box in options kept coming back on)but i didn't make a difference.
I did a roll back to 7.1.4.4 and it was the same there. The add/edit window takes a while to open, i was on version 7.1.4.3 before i noticed
this slow down.

No errors, just slowed up, in adding New data:- (saving) Edit:- (select card display time / save time) Browsing:- (select card display time)... yes I do have a lot of data and thought that might have been the problem, I read in the forum that there was no data base limit,so I uninstalled 7.2 - installed 7.1.3.6 and the slow down was fixed. Ego 7.2 isn't working for me. It could be the amount of data I have has 7.2 slowed and not 7.1.3.6 I don't know. Maybe I should try a full install of 7.2 instead of the update like I had. Bottom line 7.1.3.6 is working like EMM has since I started using it, so I'll use 7.1.3.6 till ur next release and do a full install of that.

Do you have many data inside your database?
Do you see any error message in the Main Window Toolbar?

Me personally can't see any slow down in the new version.
Is it only related to the add/edit window? or are there any other functions or windows that are slow in the new release? |
