Hello Alessio,

Since I upgraded from version 7.1.0.5 to 7.1.4.2 the importing feature is not working properly, it imports some movies but does not import a lot of avi files.

Currently I am using 7.2.0.0 but still the same, it is frustrating, I can not keep my archive up to date and movies are crowding up...

Please take a look and help me solve this issue.

Erke

Even if there are lower extensions, it's simply a bug that has to be corrected. But good that this simple workaround does it for the moment.

Hello,

Creating an "AV#304;" extension is fixed the problem. I wrote avi but XMM have converted it to UPPERCASE, making i to Turkish character #304;. Also (divx) D#304;VX, (iso) #304;SO vs. extensions are problem.

Request: lowercase extensions.

Thanks a lot.

Already tried to add this extension to the config for reading files?

Hello,

Same problem here.

This is a new problem for me (about 1-2 month(s)); I have added so many avi files before.

I think, this is a character code problem. In Turkish, there is a "uppercase i (#304;)" character, but XMM recognize it as "?".

All of my file extensions are lowercase (avi) but for XMM they are all AV? (AV#304; in Turkish character code).

I have converted avi to AVI (proper uppercase for English), XMM has recognized files. But there is nothing to do with files already written on CD/DVD.

I'm waiting for the fix.

Thank you.

Hello Guys,

From some release there is also a list of Words to "exclude" from search.

If the filename contains for example the word "sample" or "trailer" (these are the default one) the movie isn't imported.

Can this be the cause?

Please write me the complete path of a movie that is not imported by XMM.

Ale

Hello ComZiz,

What are the files that are not imported? I mean, do they have particular extension?

Ale
