Hi all,

this is not really a bug - I'm moving to a new pc; what are the files that I must move to the new installation, so that I won't miss my customisations in Quick Edit?

Thank in advance.

I don't know yet, probably.

I have start to work on a project for XMM for tablets and phones (window based)... Maybe on that new software.

All's well, thanks. BTW, any plans for a native 64bit version?

Yes, the easy way is to copy all files in the new installation (I mean all folders and subfolders of XMM).

The quickedit configuration is saved in the layout folder, is a XML file.

Thanks for the replies.

It's a new install, and it went smoothly. There is only one thing I'm missing: I had customized the panes of Quick Edit. Where are these settings saved? Alessio, can I copy a file to move them in my new setup?

I assume your installation is in the Documents folder (Portable).

Then you can copy the hole Extreme Movie Manager folder to the Documents folder on your new pc. You don't have to reinstall. The only thing you have to, is to make a new shortcut for the program to start.

If you want to make a new install, it's also important, that you copy the Databases folder from the Extreme Movie Manager folder.

If your movies are located on external harddisks, then it's also important, that the assigned drive-letter for the harddisk is the same on your old and new pc. If they get different drive-letters, you can always, change this.

Good luck with the migration.

Hi apd,

you should copy the files from the "Layouts" folder, for Quick Edit the QuickEditMovie.xml file.

Bye Byte
