Hi Folks. I've just purchased XMM after using Personal Video Database for some years. I imported the PVD database ok using csv import. I now want to import jpg cover files that I've previously scanned to each movie.

When I try to import a jpg the Explorer window opens then hangs for several minutes. Even when Explorer opens scrolling is very very slow.

It does this in both the ADD / EDIT information box, and also the Cover Manager. I can paste the jpg path directly into the entry field. This usually works, but when I try to open the cover in the main interface, the programme hangs. Sometimes I get a black box in the preview pane rather than the image.

I have disabled Irfanview. Excluded XMM working files in Avast and Online Armour. I have also tried closing XYPlorer and Listary in case they are causing problems.

Can anyone help here please? I'm Running Windows 7

Found my own answer

In my security software I excluded the eXtreme files that I could think of, but didn't think to exclude Irfanview in the configuration folder.

All good now. Maybe this will help someone else sometime.
