I tried to catalog a compilation (that is, tracks by various artists) the scripts worked fine but the artists field was empty. I tried to edit the compilation record and add artist by the name "Various Artists" but was allowed to use only existing artists in the database.
Does that mean that I'm not allowed to add artists of my own?

Of course, by automatic adding if the album artist doesn't exist.
That's already a request - but at the beginning of every prog there are so many requests that nobody can add them at one time. I think we have to remind Ale several times as he has too much to do to remember everything...

Thanks again for a prompt answer, JDommi.
Still, there are better ways to realize this feature...

Of course you can. Just add before the name by "Add Artist".
