i am unable to switch my html card. on the tutorial page that first opens when xmm is opened shows a toolbar under the current html card but i don't have that. TIA

Go to the options (the white arrow top left) -> HTML Card. There you can chose the card.
Another way is to right click on the card itself if the native menu is disabled.
