Today i wanted to add a new movie to my database.
Device scanner just wont see it.
I added it manually and now the magicscript wont download info.
I updated both my scripts and XMM itself to the latest.
I'm trying to use IMDb FASTEST.
Magicscript just gets stucked.... it says "waiting for kickstart" and "waiting for directlink to be selected" eventhough i already selected it.... what can be the problem*

You just have to unpack the provided file and put the scripts into the scripts folder, e.g. IMDB and TheMovieDB script.
Only the OFDB script requires a special procedure. |

Thank you Mawu. I looked at the link you provided, but the process just isn't clear to me.
I guess I'll try my hand with Gellyfin, which seems to be more current. So much for lifetime license, huh? |

Alessio stopped developing xMM some time ago. The current scripts must be added manually. All working scripts are available in the current update pack:

Unfortunately there are no scripts for DVD-Empire and Blu-ray.com available at the moment. JDommi is currently the only one that has the necessary skills for scripting.

I just installed and authenticated 10.0.0.2 (32 bit) on my Windows 11 device. I checked for app updates and updated all scripts, but NONE work. I've tried IMDB Complete, IMDB Fastest, DVDEmpire, Blueray.com, and others. I add a title (and year) manually, click on Update from the Web, then the download web page dialogue opens with Number of items 1/1, number of scripts 1. Screen Engine Busy flashes a few times, but nothing imports. |

My EMM8 is in c:\Users\XYZ\Documents\eXtreme Movie Manager 8\
My EMM7 is in c:\Users\XYZ\Documents\eXtreme Movie Manager 7\

I was thinking the same thing, going back to version 7 I mean. Is this script related or magicscript related Alessio? The engine can not grab the name from the window.
Also most of the time the XMM file scanner can not grab the name... Eventhough i have filter of my own... they all used to work on version 5 & 6... When 7 came device scanner caused me problems.. =( |

Looks like I'll go back to 7x :( Couldn2t import actors-director, have to update all 9600 movies in 8x! Also this problem :( |

Tried it also, didn't worked :( Looks like Script engine is always busy, I've deselected update movies in background but each time I satrt EMM it's selected again? |

OK, please make another test...
Select in the grid the movie you want update, then right-click and "import with a different script".
now select the THEMOVIEDB instead of IMDB.
Let me know if works.

Same problem here, imported 7x db and trying to add more movies, it stucks with same note (Engine,Ready waiting for kickstart) nothing happens. Tried IMDB fast-complate both have same problem.
Tried to add movies to Example.db same prpoblem. Script doesn't run... |

try the IMDB complete and do just one or two to see if it is still giving you grief..I use it all the time and haven't had issues with it.... |

The fact that XMM detect that the database is from version7 is just because don't know the "location" of your last opened database, just this.
What script are you using? can depend on the script that doesn't download info?

When i deleted the ini file, XMM detected that my database was older from version 7. It converted it.
I re-imported my latest movies... because somehow they were deleted.
the device scanner seems to see the movie now, but does not import the title.
Finally i tried to Update from the web again. But still no luck Alessio, it still doesn't read the movie title and now all my settings are gone too =( |
