Posted - 18 May 2014 : 08:54:00 Hello, I already posted this in German. Here is my English version.
Device-Scanner does not work correctly. Often files saved in different folders are 'joined' to one movie. What we really need is an option: foldername IS Movie name.
Maybe the internal buffer holding the last file name (for comparing with the new one) is not reset when a new folder is read or the length of the name is not reset then.
I have a main folder with about 600 subfolders, each containing one to several parts of a movie. After scanning that folder i find many incorrect joins. It's not possible to correct all those joins manually.
Please check this - otherwise device-scanner is useless (for me).
I think this is an old problem (tried to scan since months - always with same wrong results) and should be solved ASAP.
BTW: it would be useful if you could 'join' entries even later.

Posted - 21 May 2014 : 10:01:36 Hello Ale,
i did like you suggested. > New database > scan folder using device scanner > wait some minutes > (all items already selected) > right click: set tile... >> still many duplicates > select any entry > hit CTRL-A > right click: set title... again >> nothing seems to be changed > import all selected movies >> many duplicates and many wrong joins (just like before)
I you want, I can send you a copy of the db.
Please let me know.
Have a nice day. |

Posted - 21 May 2014 : 08:13:47 Hello and sorry for delay!
For the Folder name: please select the movies you want change the titles with the folder name (in your case you can select all, and the Right Click -> Set title like folder name)
Same thing to not XMM "Join" two movies together, right click -> Clear Join.
Let me know,
Ale |
