I've installed the new x64 version of the XMM. Now i can't open the program nor a database. It asks every time for a password. Tried to delete all databases after a clean installation, to build a new example db. Tried to copy the backup of my db into the folder. No chance to open the program. |

Well, but you can't use the 64-bit AND the 32-bit drivers parallel. I'm still using a 32-bit release of Office as example. So what to do without hacking the system?
The other big problem still is that you can't use the "Compact & Repair" function. It always deletes your database - at least it happened the last time a user has tried. |

x64 application needs an x64 Access Database Engine Drivers. You can download them from here:

I've installed them on my Home PC and x64 XMM which Ale gave me today now load the database without asking for password.

Hello,
Its ready, just go in the download section.
If , when you open XMM, it ask for a password means that you have to download the Drivers (XMM will open automatically the website where you can find it).

Hi Ale,
Is there any news about implementation of x64 Media Info with x64 version of XMM ?
This will fix many issues with bigger databases.

I think it's temporarily removed as Ale still hasn't implemented the 64-bit version of MediaInfo. |

Hello,
how can I install the x64 version ?
downloaded latest version from the site (8.3.0.0), there were no option for x64 version, during install (also tried a clean install)
Probably there is another installer for the x64 version but if it's not released yet I guess it should not be mentioned on what's new log:

anyway looking forward for the x64 as I had to set up a lot of workarounds to overcome the memory limitations that plague the x86 version for large movie DB

I haven't much time for troubleshooting the issue, but maybe it's related to 32-bit version of MediaInfo.
Ale, it is possible to use 64-bit version of MediaInfo in 64-bit XMM? |

Here is the first found issue with the x64 XMM - when reading files (Add/Edit Movie -> Read File) or when adding movies through Device Scanner (and read codecs option checked) XMM crash with the following error:

Which drivers are needed for the 64-bit version?
I think nobody wants to use a sometimes instable 32-bit version if there exists a stable 64-bit version.
