Hello Alessio,

- xMM has problems with "Umlaute": xMM doesn't accept umlaute for customs field names, also with movie search by script

- Data Fields:
- it's not possible to change MovieID like in xMM7
--"Codec": drop down list is missing
--"Screen Ratio": drop down list is missing
--"Video Mode": drop down list is missing
--"Media Language" (Video Tab) is obsolete, doublette of corresponding field in audio stream table Fixed in 9.0.0.4
--"Media Label" (Video Tab) is obsolete, doublette of corresponding field in disks table
--"FPS": problems with format, e.g. when I import Blu-ray stream the value is "23,976". When I save the movie profile and edit again, xMM cuts the value to "23" Fixed in 9.0.0.4
--"Resolution": drop down list is missing
--"Video Standard": drop down list is missing
--"Audio Codec", "Sample rate", "Audio Bitrate", "Channels", "Audio Format": there seems to be a dropdown list, but how to populate these? Seems to be buggy
--"Region": drop down list is missing
--"gift" checkbox should be placed where it belongs to: personal tab
--"Condition" the dropdown doesn't work and the field will be deleted after saving
--seen date should be a multiple field as I like to watch my favourite movies more than one time.

- Series:
-- seen episodes were coloured instead of unseen Fixed in 9.0.0.3
- sorting according seasons - episodes doesn't work/is not stored Fixed in 9.0.0.3
- in details tab in keywords and direct links field data were not stored
-- quotes field: content can't be stored Fixed in 8.5.2.0

- Database design: referential integrity of the database on all levels; some simple examples: When I import a new genre, country or language to the database it should be saved and be available in the
corresponding checkbox oder dropdown list. When later the movie is deleted and now other movie is associated with this item, it should be deleted, too. This is also very imported for actors.

- Cover manager:
-- mask for pictures (xmm7) is gone; "Movie Title.jpg" mask would be fine
-- all my covers were stored according to the movie title (imported from xMM7). When adding screenshots (which is new in xMM8) this screenshots were stored like this:
MovieID-Original Title_fanart; screenshots and fanart are not the same. Better would be: Movie Titel_screenshot.jpg!!!
Fixed in 9.0.0.4
- in pictures tab front covers were not accessible, vice versa
- no drag & drop

- Quickedit: in DVD/VHS tab in field "media release dates" the values of filed "release dates" are listed (release dates = theatre release, imported from IMDB)

-Adding DVD/Blu-ray:

--"Add Original DVD" option useless and can be deleted from menu
-- dual layer isn't recognized automatically
-- correct diskID for DVD/Blu-ray can't be read
-- it's not possible to select the disk drive when adding a disk in disk tab
-- reading vob-Files (DVD) and m2ts-Files(Blu-ray):
--- media languages were not recognized
--- subtitles were not recognized
--- when I add a movie file (Read file...) the items in the lists disappear and the lists have to be refreshed (by closing and reopen the edit window or by opening all list managers)
--- blu-ray: problems to read bitrate (no value)
--- audio stream: when you have two or more audio streams with identical Audio Format/Bitrate/Codec only one is listed in the table.Example: English and german in Dolby Digital 5.1, Italian in Dolby Digital 2.0; Only the englisch and italian stream were listed
---after adding a movie file the field "Screen Ratio" will be emptied
--- if I read a file all selections in field "features"in DVD/VHS Tab are deleted

- Search: selection of search field is not saved Fixed in 9.0.0.3

To the Episodes table bug: confirmed

The Length: I never have checked that as I never add the movie files to the database as I always rename the folder when adding a new season. As example: Arrow (S01-S04). I mostly have had problems with the automatic "Moved Files" correction on TVShows. That would cause such discrepancies, too.

Adding columns to the Tab "Episodes", I wanted to add the length of the video and the codec, however once I add it in it disappears when I close the window. I've made sure that the option to "Freeze Current Layout" was off when I added these changes but it won't work. Another is that I'm not sure the total length of a season is being added up correctly, When I added CSI-NY Season 1 to the database, it showed the total length of the files as 389 for 23 episodes...when in fact when I checked it manually it shows the length for all the episodes as 952. By the way I'm using XMM v9.0.0.7 (32 bit)

I'm going to add this critical bug to the list:

'Compact and repair database' erases your database when using XMM 64-Bit version. I have needed to use this function several times already.

I cannot use the 64-bit version without this function working!

Some of mine... (unsorted)

Import from CSV
1. Are the assignments saveable?
2. The assignments on the right side should be moveable (like the column headers) to a user defined order when saveable.
3. There seem to be missing some fields that are available in the database I think. Or I have overlooked some because of the unsorted order.

pics naming
When you download a pic the filename is the datetime + the episode name.
But when adding from clipboard it's episode id + movie id + season + episode + pic number + episode title.
What I don't understand, too, is that some of the actor photos have a name like number + name but the most have name + number. Is that depending on the script? Or what's the reason for?

importing TVShows
1. Add a TVShow manually
2. Edit the TVShow
3. Update from Web -> Quick Update with default scripts -> With default scripts1
(I have selected IMDB and theTVDB and the wanted options before)
4. Starting this chain from out of the editor should start it
BUT
I have to select the script again and when I multiselect both scripts again only the last clicked starts the import.
From GridView this function does not work, too!

Another problem is a missing script option that I can deselect the actor import for a special script.
And what's the most annoying bug is - I have already informed you about - is that the "Don't overwrite existing data"-option doesn't work for episodes.

When adding Screenshot Covers the Manager (tab "Pictures" in the Editor) for is the same as for FanArt. So those categories are the same?! In the .mdb there is a field for both!

What I'm additionally thinking about is a possibility to add season banners. TheTVDB as example provides them.
Once downloaded it should be easy to show them instead of the black background for the episode part.

One more:
As some movies/episodes are handled as series there are some problems when using different scripts. As example "Jesse Stone". On theTVDB it's a series but on IMDB the episodes are handled as movies. Maybe it's a good idea to have a possibility to download single episode info like movies. I know that this a very difficult to program therefor this is only request for "once in the far future"

As many tv shows are running for years it would be good to have a field that can contain text. The Year field unfortunately can only contain a single year (4 digits).
If it's not possible to change the original field it would be a good idea to use a custom field. Anyhow it should be added to the movie card.

TV Shows
There are some TVShows that get a missing or wrong year on importing.
As example: http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0062542/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
With TheTVDB I got 2010 for some reason and with IMDB I got an empty year ALTHOUGH I had corrected the year after first import to 1968 and the options are set to take only empty fields.
Beside that it's really killing that the "Take only empty fields"-Option is not valid for episodes. As I wanna have german info if available I firstly have to import with TheMovieDB set to german, then with IMDB and finally with TheMovieDB again. As script chains do not work (only the first script will be executed - already reported a long tiome ago) I have to select the correct show and episodes on each import. Reimporting is difficult, too, as only the last used script is stored in the database. Another problem is that the last used script will be emptied when skipping a show but it already was imported with the same or another script.
All in one sentence: It's a pain to proceed TVShows.

When closing the MagicScript editor and re-open it again the script is empty but all other variables of the previous instance still remain. Inclusive all break points!

As Script chains still do not work I do a workaround by using the scripts one after each other. This has only one big problem: the direct links are not stored for every used script but only for the last one. That's killing when you have to select every movie again and again on re-updating.

By the way: on the forum someone has said that the direct link isn't taken anymore and the quick update let you always to select the movie to import even if this movie already was imported with the same script.

MagicScript
1. The MagicScript Help is not available although it's still located in the Help folder of XMM.
2. On debugging a script - where the hell is the source of the actual website? Do you have completely moved from the editor to the Advanced Info during import? Or am I blind?
3. There is still a discrepance between the editor (word wrapping) and the debug window (no wordwrapping) that causes errors on Adding Breakpoints.
4. I don't know if that was already in XMM7: You can select only one episode when testing TVShow scripts.

After importing an old X7 database (a.e. USA /Canada) you can see the flags of the country/countries.
But when you click more than one country in the edit window you don't see the flags anymore. I think the syntax you send to the card is different.

1. Unlike Movies and TV Shows there is no possibility to update actors with another script!
2. There is no possibility to find actors not related to any movie/show.
3. For TV Shows you can't re-read codecs.
Seems as if this function only works on the movies and not on episodes although the menu says so.
I have tried it with whole database (movies and shows), from shows and even from episodes shown in main grid.
4. The Fields Manager is not working with episodes.
