Posted - 27 Apr 2015 : 04:50:19 8.4.6.0 32bit. was the latest update. Still device scanner fails to find newly added movies. Having to manually add each movie. Doubled checked all settings above. Made sure each opening was with administrative function checked. Also tried playing with compatibility functions ie, xp service pack 3. Oh and I'm very glad to hear it works fine for you, now it's my turn. |

Posted - 12 Dec 2014 : 10:30:06 On the Device Scanner tab I have ticked: - Extract Info from NFO and URL Files - Try to Import Pictures, too. - Do not add file if already in Database - Auto Update moved Files (Do not prompt it) - Recursive search Movies - Recursive seach TV Shows - Get Folder Name from LAST folder of selected path On file extensions I don't have changed anything. Additional Options: - Do not calculate movie length - Try to extract year from file - Device Scanner Icon On tab "Title Cleaning" I have ticked everything but "Put 'THE' at beginning of the title towards the end
And one thing I maybe have to say is that I have separated databases for Movies and TV Shows. Therefor I have to fill the folder part for each scan and remove the one I don't need. Maybe that's the problem for you ?!? |

Posted - 12 Dec 2014 : 01:53:52 it's got to be a setting I have set wrong. what are all the settings that have any effect on Device Scanner? |

Posted - 10 Dec 2014 : 18:36:29 For me it works. Just tested! As I have the device scanner not enabled for autostart I have started it manually. All new movies in the folder are recognized correctly. Maybe you have updated XMM after your last import? Then your settings for the input directories are reset to a wrong folder? Keep in mind that movies and TVShows folder(s) have to be set differently. |
