I posted that a while ago, still no answer, so I guess it'd be better in bug reports:

"In v7, I could import a movie without importing the people in the database. Then I would import manually the actors I wanted.

Now it seems that all actors are automatically added to the database (with empty data, but still added). If I modify the import actors option (imdb script), then they are not added, but they're not added in the list of actors/roles in the movie either.

I'd like to have the full cast of the movie, but without adding people to the database.

Am I missing something there ? It was possible in v7.

And also I thought I could easily import an actor from the movie (with its data) which doesn't seem to be possible anymore."

When using the IMDB script you can set the option to not take full information. All other scripts don't have this option as they don't take any info.
A separate function only exists for not taking any actor but that's not what you want.
Only other possibility is to edit each actor separately. A general function like for movies to delete all info is not given.

So the easiest workaround for your problem is to set the script option for imdb or just to decline to take any actor and use a second script that only imports the actors names.
