Posted - 21 Aug 2016 : 15:27:33 Hello, I tried to change some fields on an old entry I have on my database(5,5k movies) and I noticed that on old entries, like movies added 2 years ago I cannot change anything. The problem is that XMM just stops responding on these entries. On newer entries like movies added on 2016 or 2015 it works just fine Any ideas?

Posted - 24 Aug 2016 : 20:41:43 The androiddevice folder? Strange! I never have had a look at that directory as I don't have any use for it. But good to know the solution |

Posted - 24 Aug 2016 : 18:49:50 I found the problem was on the dbname_androiddevice directory. I thought as far as the db can be edited the problem isnt on the db itself so I removed all the dbname_* directories and started trying editing the db in XMM. The dbname_androiddevice directory did it all. As far as I dont care bout android import/exports I just deleted it and everything works just fine. I dont know the reason this happened though :) |

Posted - 24 Aug 2016 : 18:32:30 I just have tested to edit a movie inserted 2009 and every change was accepted. I still can only offer to upload your mdb to check it on your database.
One thing still you can test if not already done: start XMM with admin rights and check again. |

Posted - 24 Aug 2016 : 18:12:36 I opened the database and I managed to edit the mdb file with MDBPlus. Then I opened the database with XMM and I saw the changes. Still I cannot edit old entries with XMM. I copied the XMM to another computer and still hangs when I try to edit an old entry |

Posted - 21 Aug 2016 : 20:43:53 Well, I personally would try 2 things: 1. Open the datbase with Access and check if changes are possible 2. Copy the database with all related subdirectories to another location and open it from there
If that doesn't help I can only offer that you upload the database to any server and let me see if I have the same problem. |

Posted - 21 Aug 2016 : 17:49:58 That I never have recognized... I think that there is a little inconsistency in your database. When you are using the 32-bit release U would suggest to use the Compact & Repair function from the Database Tools. For the 54-bit release you have to use the same function out of MS Access directly. |
