I've been using XMM 9 since it was released. I changed many of the grid options several versions ago and would like to add one column. I can add it, sort by it and use it in all ways, but once I exit out of XMM all changes are lost. I've looked every where but can't find an answer to this one.

I think you have freezed your layout.
Go to the options and uncheck this setting on tab General.
