Recently, after adding several mkv files (each of many gbs) using "file device" function in XMM, the same titles appear to be multiplied in the XMM database (in 2 or 3 copies) and you can not understand which one is actually connected to the existing file...
So if you then delete some of the multiple titles to leave only one, this remaining title is often linked to a non-existent file because the original file was (mistakenly) deleted by XMM.
Since I did not find (for now) no report about this bug I wonder if I can make a mistake but just do not understand what it might be.

Yes, many solutions . Thanx

Well, for such a reason I would add a unique identifier to the title in database and/or file name.
You also can add multiple files to any database entry.
Beside that you can manually add a second database entry and assign the file manually to. The "don't add..." option is only related to the DeviceScanner!

Unfortunately, when you want to keep two different versions of the same movie (which happens to me quite often) you have to change option 1, and maybe you can forget to change the option again.

1. Check "Don't add files that are already in database" (Tab Device Scanner)
2. Check "Ask on removing from database if the files should be deleted, too" (Tab Edit)

I don't know at the moment the correct english phrases as I have set XMM to german language.
