Hello,

When I manually add an episode to a TV Show and want to add the image for that episode, then I get an update conflict on that record.

Reproduce steps:
1) Click on "Add New Episode" when editing a TV Show
2) Give some basic information, like Episode title, Original title, season and episode number
3) Click on the button OK to save the changes
4) Via Firefox I copy an image to the clipboard
5) I open the same Episode for adding the (cover) image
6) I use the button "Add From Clipboard" to paste the image

On that moment on the episode line in the grid and error is shown about an update conflict.

I have tried to reproduce the bug without success.

For the wiki I fully agree with you. But it's sometimes a not as easy as expected to write an understandable part of it. And of course what for some people is clear without any doubt for others it is not and vice versa. Beside that the time...
Therefor everyone can help making a small part of addition. Ale and me will add that article then to the wiki.

I use now the DeviceScanner as well. I don't see now a problem with an update conflict.

I see the problem only when I use the button 'Add New Episode', put some information. Close the edit window, then open again the same episode for adding extra information. It doesn't matter which information is given. It is always the second time you re-open a newly added episode for editing.

Maybe Ale have some clue. This works now for me, thanks for the help.

As I use XMM more and more, I like the working of it. But sometimes confusing, an update of the wiki page would be nice.

As I always add whole seasons at once (DeviceScanner and script) I think that it is related to a "missing" info.
Ignore that error, please and add all the missing data until that exclamation mark disappears.
This way we can show Ale where the bug occurs.

I sorted somethings out. When you paste an image from the browser of the clipboard it is not always a jpg file, but png file. Took me some while to figure this out.

The update problem occurs in my case, when you add a new episode manually, fill the title, season and episode number in. Then close all the edit windows until the main screen remains. Afterwards I want to edit the same episode, and I put the air date (as an example) or other not yet filled in field for that episode. And close the episode's edit window. Then I see an update error on that episode in the grid under "Episodes".

Compacting and repair the database doesn't resolve my issue here.

I hope that Ale can reproduce and take a look.

That's really new for me. I think that this is a job for Ale.
All I can guess at the moment is that your database has an error. Try a Compact & Repair on your database, please.

I am using XMM 32-bit and Office 2016 32-bit (365 home edition).
Yes, you are correct it is the tab Episodes in the edit window.
Here you see my screenshot:
https://ibb.co/gQ8OVR
It is in Dutch. But it means : "Error during simultanous action: 0 of expected 1 records are processed by the updateCommand".
JDommi Posted - 14 Dec 2017 : 10:18:20
It depends on the Office release that you have installed, I think.
- Office 32-bit and XMM 32-bit -> okay
- Office 32-bit and XMM 64-bit -> okay (but very slow at least on my computer)
- Office 64-bit and XMM 32-bit -> ??? but should work, too
- Office 64-bit and XMM 64-bit -> okay

"The episodes overview window" is the tab "Episodes" in the edit window of the show? If yes, then I don't get that exclamation mark.
Season 0 stands for specials so it's already processed by XMM.
Episode 0 maybe can make problems but should be shown, too. The card movie_bigcover_season additionally provides special season specific info on the show like S01E00 with the seasonal poster if available.
Try to input the season and episode number directly when adding the episode if that problem still occurs.
Beside that I never have seen the mentioned exclamation mark in a grid. Attach a screenshot, please.

Sorry for not being clear. Here my reproduce steps.
1) I add a new episode to an existing tv show.
2) I define only an episode title and paste the image from clipboard
3) I close the episode edit window (saving changes)
4) I close the TV show edit window (The newly added episode get season 0 and episode 0 as number)
5) I reopen the same TV show
6) Opening the previously added episode and change the season and episode number.
7) I close the episode edit window. Then in the episodes overview window I see in the grid an exclamation mark.

What I did before was also removing XMM 64-bit. Make a backup of the movie database. Installed the XMM 32-bit edition in the folder after removing the old files there.

Maybe there is something wrong with my drivers for access?

Sorry, your last reply is not clear for me.
Is it still related to the picture? Where do you change season/episode?
Do you have added a new episode to the show or are you trying to do all the same time?
Explain the steps of what you are doing, please.
Tome Posted - 13 Dec 2017 : 22:21:16
Just informal.I tested furthermore and saw the following. I can add An episode. I just define the title and image from clipboard. Save it. No problem, but if I change the season or episode number I get An update conflict. He said no row to update.

Good questions! Next next one, please.
As far as I know Ale that debug log is in the main folder of XMM or in the subfolder Temp.
If not I would have a look at the root folder or the last opened database folder.
Tome Posted - 12 Dec 2017 : 20:27:11
One other question, trying to find the cause. If I enable "Debug Mode", where is the log file created?
Tome Posted - 12 Dec 2017 : 19:36:47
Thanks for your reply JDommi and trying to reproduce my error. Maybe a difference is that I am using the 64-bit edition of XMM? I will keep your suggestion in my mind.
JDommi Posted - 12 Dec 2017 : 14:23:27
Sorry, I don't find a workaround as I can't reproduce the error.
Only other way is to save the image and then import it by loading from disk instead of pasting from clipboard. Keep in mind that it has to be a .jpg.
JDommi Posted - 11 Dec 2017 : 23:26:36
I think it's not really related to IrfanView as most other users like me don't have problems with it.
And for the few a change of that option has done the job - as far as I know.
Tome Posted - 11 Dec 2017 : 22:10:17
Thank you. Looking forward for your solution.
Is there a possibility that Ale will look later to this problem if you work via the tool IrfanView? Or are there other workarounds, change the version of IrfanView manually?
JDommi Posted - 11 Dec 2017 : 21:29:01
Well, then the problem is the filetype as the EpisodeCard expects the pictures as .jpg.
At the moment I don't know a suitable help for you. Maybe tomorrow I will find a solution.
Tome Posted - 11 Dec 2017 : 21:04:41
I unmarked the checkbox using the IrfanView program. There is no update conflict. But when I want to see the details of this episode, the image is not shown anymore.
JDommi Posted - 10 Dec 2017 : 21:12:01
Have a look at the Options. On the tab General there is an option to use IrfanView. Toggle this setting and try it again.
I don't have any problems on adding pics from the clipboard.
