Every time i try to change the (grid visible colomns) In Movie View
i am trying to change to lets say actor I Type Who i am Looking For Example John wayne and as soon as i click on ENTER EMM8 Opens in the TV Mode Episode ID Title Season Episode Personal Ratings
i dont know it it is me or the EMM8

i have the same problem as the original post. i wrote "the green mile" pressed enter. it showed me all the titles withe the word "the", than i noticed that the search is on "grid visible culomns". changed it to title, pressed ENTER again. it didn't search, there was no change in results. tried pressing on other stuff in XMM8, pressed on some stuff in the treeview and then enter on the search again, it find the movie at last!!!! but when i double clicked on the movie it opened some tv-show that i have in the database. |

To start the search you have to press ENTER... the button to reset will be ready in next release.
The button with tree dots does nothing right now... |

yes but if you choose a specific field to search on isn't it suppose to search only on that field?
what about the first issue? i need to be on the field and press "ENTER"? no button to start search or to clear/reset seach? and what does the three dots button do (...)? |

You are using the "simple" search that looks for the search text in the grid.
Just use the "Advanced" search funtion ;) |

i have a different problem with the function.
when i change the field on which i want to search what do i need to do so the search will search again? to press on the search field? which button starts the search.
another thing. When the search is over, the words i was looking for are highlighted in yellow. the problem is that they are highlighted in yellow on ALL fields, no only the field i was looking on. |

I am not sure I have understand correctly... probably you have not click on the movie grid before make the search. Please be sure to click on the grid (so xmm knows that you are actually on Movie mode) and make the search again.
