Posted - 20 Oct 2012 : 12:29:16 It seems this option is missing from the "add movie" menu. Or has it been moved to a different place?
How do I add movies from the Internet

Posted - 22 Oct 2012 : 17:35:45 Thank you for you advice, now it works! :-)
Although ... um ... I prefered the characteristics of XMM7 a bit more. XMM7 does select the new movie's table row after importing (at least it appears to do so), which made it a lot easier to find ... |

Just write the movie title and click on the button "Update from Web", this is the same thing of "Import from Internet" of XMM 7.

Posted - 22 Oct 2012 : 07:38:36 Automatically from Internet: in XMM7 you had to type in the movie title anyway and then it was updated from your desired site. Now in XMM8 you have to add the title and getting all info will follow automatically. Or am I still wrong and you think of the "grabbing movies from your browser"? That function I never have used and I think it's (yet?) not implemented. |

Posted - 22 Oct 2012 : 07:09:53 Hi JDommi,
there seems to be a misunderstanding, so let me try to put it a different way. XMM7: When clicking "add movie" the menu shows: - add Boxset - add manually by title - AUTOMATICALLY FROM INTERNET ()!) - ...
The latter (AUTOMATICALLY FROM INTERNET) is the issue, that option does NOT show in XMM8! Therefor I'm unable to add NEW (!) movies.
I can still UPDATE already EXISTING movies in the database the way you described, but not add NEW ones.

Posted - 20 Oct 2012 : 17:36:33 Import is automatically - in background. Manually it is possible by right clicking on the movie(s) |
