updated to 16. I have around 650 movies, tv shows, in database. All I want to do is renumber the movies,tv shows in alphabetical order. 7 did this with no problem. 8 appears unable to do it at all. When I do renumber, the list will display corectly but the error message can't save because of duplicate values in key.... appears. when I reopen XMM the list is back the way it was.
I'm running windows 7 32 bit with admin rights. Any suggestions before I revert back to 7? |

Yes, I have read it on the changelog. Today I have installed the 8.0.1.9 (full version) and checked it out. It's still alive. 
Because of this I've told you. 
But I said it before, the existing boxsets are ok. Only the movies without a boxset get a not existing boxset. The "Vernetzt" boxset is a movie and will not shown in the boxsetlist.

In the latest release this problem should be fixed, there was a bug... do you still get this problem?

For every test, I imported the database new. If I renumber the database in XMM7 and import it in XMM8, everything is ok.
I think the reason is the MovieID for movie and boxset. In XMM7 boxsets have a seperate BoxsetID. Could it be that the link between the movie and the boxset is broken after renumbering? |

Have you use the Renumbering function in a database without the problem? I mean that you should try the renumbering function in a previously database without Boxset errors.
Remember that XMM make always a database backup bafore make the renumbering, so you can find it. |

Hi, Alessio I think that the bug was still not completely fixed.
After renumbering all movies are in their right boxset, with one exception. See picture.
That's ok, but all other movies are still in a boxset, that not exists. I have uploaded my renumbered database to the same link like last time if you need it. |

Hi,
after an alphabetical renumbering, all movies are in a boxset that does not exist and the right boxset links were overwritten. |

Excellent fix!!!! Not sure exactly what the changes all were with this release but even loading is much faster at start up. Renumbering is lightning quick. Renumbered 12,000 items in less than a minute. |

Just installed 17, problem solved!! Thank you so much for all your hard work Ale.
I've put a link to your download page on our school student bulletin board with a suggestion for them to buy the program. I hope it leads to many sales for you.
