Could somebody please explain to me how to picture import during device scanning is working? It seems randomly wich images that are imported. And they all ends up in the front cover place. Is there some kind of naming convention necessary to get the images/covers imported to the right place? |

Posted - 28 Jan 2014 : 08:43:12 Naming proposal:
Cover: [moviefilename]_front.jpg or [moviefilename]-poster.jpg (XBMC) Back cover: [moviefilename]_back.jpg FanArt: [moviefilename]_fanart.jpg Screenshots: [moviefilename]_screenshot[number].jpg
Must check if different filetypes than jpg and possible without the underscore.

Posted - 27 Jan 2014 : 12:28:17 Why not searching in first instance for [moviename]*.jpg and checking for instring of _fanart before adding to covers? |

During scanning XMM search for image files with the same name of the movie files. if cannot found it search for a generic picture file.
Lets see for matrix.avi. at begin xmm search if exist a picture like matrix.jpg, matrix.png etc... if doesn't exist search just *.jpg, *.png etc...

Posted - 24 Jan 2014 : 11:38:52 That's really a good question! I never have taken pictures with the device scanner. And as far I have payed attention to included pictures there were only the front covers included. I think for the front cover the picture has to have the same name as the movie file. Maybe there is an option to add a.e. _fanart to it - if there is a function to take others than the front cover. |
