I am trying to use V9 to replace V7.....

I am now searching Possibility to move Movies from one Database to another.

It seams this Feature has diseaperred.

How to do for that with V9 ?

Thank you in advance.

Copy of movies between databases was canceled because the new database structure seems to be too complex for a simple copy process. When you open your old xMM7 database with Access you can see that all relevant data for a specific movie is concentrated in the "Movies" table whereas in xMM 8/9 the data are evenly spread over several tables. As the bigger part of the movie data are still listed in movie table you can use access to copy to another database. Maybe Ale can re-implement this "light copy" into xMM9.

Load an old V8 release (http://www.binaryworks.it/download.asp?file=extrememm8.4.9.0.exe) and convert your database. Keep in mind to chnage the IMDB specific fields to their new fields!
Now you can install release 9 and open your new database. The old one is still existing so load the correct one
As there are a lot of changes in database structure have a look if you better run a re-update of your complete list.
Depending on the amount of people and regarding to the fact that the IMDB (complete) script now grabs more actors' data you have to decide if you wanna import them again or if you wanna let XMM convert your old data. Both can cost a lot of time...
