Posted - 31 Oct 2012 : 13:20:47 Hello, i moved some files/movies on my hard drive an used the "read file" function on the editing window of the movies to change the location.
In the "files" tab the Media Lable data gets set to the new value. It is my hdd name. But in the "Video" tab the field Media Lable stays to the old value, the old hdd name. The "Catalog No" field in the "Main" tab shows the hdd name as well. It also hasn't changed to the new drive name. I don't use the Catalog No field myself. It must have been filled by xmm7 before import to xmm8. I wonder why these field don't get updated when reading a file.

Posted - 18 Nov 2012 : 05:01:49 I have media label in ver 7 and apparently it changes to catalog number in version 8? Regardless, I can't seem to find a setting in device scanner to bring that field in when it searches and that is a requirement for me as that is what I use to designate which hard drive the movies are stored on. |

Posted - 03 Nov 2012 : 09:50:49 Does nobody know, if the Media Label is supposed to change also in in the "Video" tab when changed in the "Files" tab? Is it a bug?
I guess the Catalog No is for a personal catalog system, why is it filled by xmm when converting the xmm7 database? As there is nothing in that field in my xmm7 database, it is a bug, i believe. |
