In XMM8 2 Features are missing that i used every time when i worked in XMM7:

1) In the context menu of a movie in the grid view there was an option to open directly the movie page in the default browser from where the movie information was imported (for example: OFDB).
I didn't anything like this in XMM8

2) Importing movies via the device scanner is much more complicated (for me) now.
In XMM7 i opened the device scanner and i could directly see the directory from where the movies will get imported (and i could directly change it).
Now i have to open the options first then remove a folder and the add a new folder.
My setting is that i have 3 different databases that i manage with XMM
and for every database i have an own directory where i put the movies in.
This is much more effort to handle in XMM8 in comparison to XMM7.
Best thing for me would be if the directories for the device scanner would be saved depending on the database.
Then i must only configure it once.
Second best option would be to bring back the old behaviour from XMM7.

Well, as you can easily see in that thread, the first post was in January, and I waited patiently before I reasked two months later. Now, another 1,5 month has passed, and I still have had no response from Ale. So, please.

If it is so then it was without any reason.
I often have the problem that when there are too many unread posts you sometimes overlook a few. And sometimes the forum soft sets unread posts to read when you are a certain time in.

I have also been away from the forum because of other obligations, so I can relate with Ale. But as far as I can see, he has replied to plenty of other posts since I politely asked and reasked; therefore...

The problem is that Ale is more in the states from work than @home in the last time...
I think otherwise XMM8 would be much further in progress.

I had suggested something similar in this topic

but Ale did not bother to reply. I hope your case might provoke some response.
