Posted - 18 May 2016 : 06:32:03 When I add a TV Show I'd like to import video properties like codec, bitrate and others. Also I'd like to link the episode to the file stored in my hard disk |

Posted - 02 Jun 2016 : 11:15:49 Hello Chibuz,
Yes, the standard "way" for TV Show is to use the function in the context menu after you have scan the folder in search for new Episodes.
In this case you can use also the function "Extract title, season, number from title".

Posted - 02 Jun 2016 : 10:39:52 Hi JDommi,
I'd like to know if Xmm imports title of TVShow from filename. I checked option -> Device Scanner -> Additional Options: Set Title Like Filename but nothing is imported. The only way that works for me is trough context menu as I said previously |

Posted - 20 May 2016 : 10:08:03 Strange, I never have used the Context menu on that. Only one time to have a look at... So I have learned something nmore, too! |

Posted - 20 May 2016 : 03:41:59 Great news I was able to import video properties I used "Extract Title,Season,Number from Title..." in the "Device Scanner" window. This way I compiled all tags for every entry It's strange because I had manually filled fields of some items and they was not imported. But now that they are all compiled everything works well Thanks again |

Posted - 19 May 2016 : 21:20:23 Try to do a fresh installation of XMM... that's the only thing that comes into my mind |

Posted - 19 May 2016 : 19:14:58 Here is the promised walkthrough that works for me.
Files -> Options -> Device Scanner - uncheck Do NOT Read Codecs During Scanning - check Recursive Search TV Shows
Tabulator: TV Show Folders - Add New Folder
If TV Show is not in Database: Add TV Shows -> Add Episodes from Files (Device Scanner) - Start Search - Correct Field "Serie Title" if neccessary
If TV Show is already in Database: Select The TV Show in the Grid View - Context menu: Add Episodes to TV Show by Selecting Files From Harddisk |

Posted - 19 May 2016 : 13:50:52 I have tested it with Banshee and everything worked as expected. There must be a mistake on your doings - otherwise I can't imagine any bug...
In the afternoon (after work) I will try to make a detailed walkthrough of how I always do it. |

Posted - 19 May 2016 : 13:04:11 After I imported 20 episodes, Xmm shows only one item. http://i.imgur.com/AiedEnb.jpg
If I double click on it, in the files tab are reported the 20 episodes http://i.imgur.com/A3PLsdn.jpg
I hope developer can investigate this issue |

Posted - 19 May 2016 : 07:26:47 I didn't have heard anything like that from other users. And yes, I use the latest release. I don't have any idea why it doesn't work for you. |

Posted - 19 May 2016 : 00:32:16 I renamed my files like you did but the problem occurs again. I'd like to know if other users have my same problem Do you use the latest version? |

Posted - 18 May 2016 : 23:13:39 Oops, sorry! http://www.mediafire.com/download/b24minj6s176ll0/Unbenannt.jpg
Yes, the way is correct. Maybe it's because of the file name convention. I always use "TVShow - SxxExx - Episode Name.file ext" and for that XMM does it for me... |

Posted - 18 May 2016 : 22:07:06 Yes I did Did I use the correct way to import episodes? The picture you send me doesn't seem an eXtreme Movie Manager screenshot. They seem audio files |
JDommi |
Posted - 18 May 2016 : 19:02:15 Did you have checked the options? http://www.mediafire.com/download/e6nbis7370467g8/Unbenannt-1.jpg For me the codecs were added the described way. |
Chibuz |
Posted - 18 May 2016 : 18:29:16 For me it doesn't work. I recorded a short movie about what I did. If you are interested here the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/1egwccqluafqbdy/Rec005.avi |

Posted - 18 May 2016 : 17:04:41 Select one TVShow in the grid and add episodes from hard disk (context menu!). Thus the episodes will be assign to the show. It doesn't matter if the info is already imported or not. Keep in mind to do not check the option "Do not import Codec during Import".
That way all the codecs will be added and if neccessary the movie files will be added, too. |

Posted - 18 May 2016 : 14:47:59 Sorry, I don't know how to filter to show episodes. I tried several time |
JDommi |
Posted - 18 May 2016 : 12:54:36 Aren't the codec, etc. grabbed by the scanner? Did you have tried to filter a special show in the grid so that you can see each episode and then Re-read Codec? Or is that only for movies available?
In general the whole TVShow thing was built-in afterwards. So a few things are still missing in comparison with movies... |
