Posted - 29 Oct 2012 : 20:18:48 Hello Sometimes changes on the movie's websites cause a script to mulfunction, to retirive partial information or even sometimes to import nothing at all. an application/functin can be built to compare once a day the info of the sites to a working copy of the site/fields. This way we can track the changes of each site and correct it's script. |

So it would be enough to check the size of the downloaded files where the "master file" size can be saved instead of the whole file. Additionally there must be checked it the site is reachable at that moment. |

Posted - 10 Dec 2012 : 13:59:59 1. you can download a pecific movie's fields into a text file, or a database (using a buggless script), make this file your "master file". 2. each day download that same perticular movie into another file, "check file". 3. compare between the two. 4. if one of the fields is not equal that there was a change on the website.
make this for every script. |

Good idea, but really not easy to implement... |

Posted - 09 Dec 2012 : 19:59:40 That's not what i meant,my suggestion was making a tool that tracks changes of sites, which caus scripts to mulfunctio, this tool will alert when a change like that happens instead of waiting for the users to complain about a non-working-script. |
