Posted - 04 Oct 2005 : 01:02:55 Hi Alessio, i want to suggest you a littel feature addon for your next releases.
I usually change often database in EMM, because I have 3 different databases. And my databases are in a differetn directory from the default one (maily for backup reasons...)
When EMM opens, it opens the default database, and that is ok.
But every time I want to open another databse, the program starts every time from the default path, and I have to go to my right path.
I think you can introduce these features (one of them or all of them)
1) Create a "default database directory" field in the options, like photos and images. And with this "default directory" setted, you can start from it in the "open database" window. 2) Create a "last recently used database" menù, so you can click on the menu and open the desired database fast. 3) Last, but not least, you can add a field in the "open" window where you can paste the path, and dthe directory tree imediately show the files inside that path, so you don't have to browse folder by folder to reach the desired path.
What do you think ?
Thanks for your work and for your time. Maurizio. |

One use case would be a database for normal movies, and another would be for adult movies. You would probably not too keen to make the covers/pictures folder the same, aren't you ? ;)
So if one open a different database, the database should has its own configuration (e.g. covers dir etc ...).
I notice opening the database from the menu is faster than selecting it from the fifth button from the left, any idea why so ? :o |

Posted - 18 Oct 2005 : 15:24:59 Ok, I've seen it now. One feature request more I can check off on the wish list.
Maybe it's possible not only to put this feature under the "Open DB" button but also in the "database" dropdown menue.
