I am a long time user of EMM and I am very pleased with it.

I have been using it to catalog my mpg and avi files but now I want to try something different. I have a number of DVDs that I want to archive and index with EMM. These DVDs don't have a lot of content, maybe 2 gig. Rather than make an identical duplicate to DVD-R I would like to save the VOB files and such to a data DVD. I figured that I could either make a subdirectory for each disk and put the files in there, zip them up, rar them up, or create an ISO image of the disk as a single file. I would then burn this to a DVD-R with other mpg and avi files to maximize the 4.37 gig available on a DVD-R.

I use mass file add to add these types of data DVDs to EMM. I want to make sure that EMM indexes them as video files and doesn't just ignore then as non-video files as it does with nfo and txt files (another issue for another time).

What is the recommended way of doing this?

Thanks

Steven
