There is still no "starring" tab with the ability to send actors to the database,
there is still no "extra" tab or "DVD" tab. The worst problem here is that there is still no way to record where these episodes are. I try to have 2 copies of everything...one on the DVD and one ripped to hd as backup. You have made it nice to add the HD backup, but a collection organizer NEEDS to tell me what copies there are and WHERE they are. You still have made no good way to do this!
Please, please spend some time making the episodes and tv better than the competition instead of falling behind them!

You didn't miss too much. The only fancy feature I found was this template:

Posted - 04 Nov 2007 : 03:51:57 Ok, I confess. I didn't intall or try the demo (of movie collector), just read blurbs on how they were improving the tv aspect. (I won't be changing programs. I really like Alessio's work and he has some killer features that make the others just not worthwhile - like non-proprietary database) It sounded impressive, but you have a good point: publicity and how it really works are not the same thing.
So I STILL don't want XMM to fall behind, but Alessio, I am sorry for being impatient. And Mawu, I will have a specific comparison if I think I need to make such a point in th future. |

Posted - 04 Nov 2007 : 01:55:32 Hi Caunt,
I must admit that the TV Shows support is not good like the Movies, this is under the sun. Please give me some weeks to finish the new interface and the Media Center support, afet I will focus only on the TV Shows, I will add new Fields and I will change the interface in a new way.
Please continue to write suggestions!
Thank you,

Posted - 03 Nov 2007 : 23:28:44 Hi Caunt!
What are the competitors you are talking about? I only can see two competitors for xMM at the moment: 1.DVD Profiler which is a manager for commercial dvds only without any series support (ok, with a very good boxset managment with "mother-child relations") 2.Movie Collector: I have to admit that this program is going to catch up at the moment but the series support is not very impressive. Only "slicked down" to the movie management not in an own datbase like in xMM.
BTW: I support your suggestions as there are already in the wishlisthttp://xmm.wiki-site.com/index.php/Collected_Feature_Requests
