Is there a possibility to delete any "unused" actors?
In the beginning I have unfortunately worked on the example db which contained a lot of actors. After deleting the example movies the actors were still existing...
So it would be great do have the opportunity to delete all unused actors or to delete all actors in db and "refill" db with actors fields from movies. |

And doesn't update the Actors at all, because a normal Script can't update/change a existing Actor. If a Actor already exists the Data will be disregarded. |

Updating Actor's information from existing Movies relates to a new function request a made a few days ago. Specifically having a "Update Actor's Only" function that would constrain the update of a Movie record to just the Actor information. The current methodology is very labor intensive and basically updates the entire Movie.

I also would like the actor database to be able to pull from existing movies. I have manually added non imdb movie actors to the add/edit actor fields. They show up in a search but not the actor db. |

Yes, basically is better to rebuild the actors by importing it from web, to have all possible pictures and informations.
Anyway, I can try to create such function.

And what about a function to rebuild actors from existing movies? Wouldn't that be much faster than a complete re-import?
Or would that not be good because of same name of different actors?

Hi,
Yes, there is a function to delete all actors from database (Advanced tools menu -> Actors function -> Clear all actors from database).
To populate again the actors DB you have to reimport movies again.
You can select all movies to import and then press the button "Re-Import informations".
