Posted - 31 Oct 2010 : 12:17:10 Hi, do you have any plans to support the new upcoming popcorn hour jukebox (nmj) - it will be in the next official firmware (2-3 weeks away) ... The beta users already testing an release candidate - look fine but the scan engine is very limited - so a export function would be great!
all movie/tv/music/photo infos will be stored in an sql light db located at the movie share - also covers are located inside this directory...
thanks al |

Posted - 24 Nov 2010 : 08:01:36 Hello Jesse,
This is exactly how it should work, by pressing the red button you should see the NMJ.
Try another way: click on the "Source" button when you browse your movies, it should happear a menu with a "f" , select it to see the NMJ.

Posted - 24 Nov 2010 : 06:17:49 So, Ive started to take a look at this new function. Looks great. But to get it work, there are some steps to do
1st: Mount the Poppy as a Netdrive. (3 Minutes) 2nd: Click "Synchronize" to export ;-)
So, but now Ive stopped - cause - everythings seems to be done, but I dunno the simplest thing noiw - how to start the new DB at the Popcorn Hour. Moved the Cursor to my NAS - pressed RED Button - nothing.

The first release is online, its just an alpha, there are a lot of things to implement but should work correctly.
Please report bugs and suggestions!
Thank you,

Posted - 17 Nov 2010 : 09:54:59 Hi there,
until now I focused another approach... My movie files are stored on a NAS, mostly named in german.
Therefore I'm in need for a solution that: For Preperation:
- Copy Cover in a standard size (eg. 200x300, for performance reasons when loading the movie wall)
- Copy nfo files with IMDB info to the movies (already implemented in XMM, but I have differnt patterns in Custom8, so I transform it, so that only the "ttxxxxxxxx" number is exported)
With this help files, the movies should be found by NMJ, even when named in German. Then, after NMJ has found the movies:
- Change Movie/Show title to the title in XMM
- Change Movie/Show search title to the original title in XMM
- Change Movie plot (synopsis) to the plot in XMM
- Move cover files to nmj_database/video/cover (or similar) and update the detail_cover invideo/show
- Delete NFO files afterwards
This would by my idea of modifying the file information...
Best regards ternot

Posted - 16 Nov 2010 : 23:10:31 Hi Ternot!
Its indeed not easy, I must admit it.
For now I want add the Movies inside XMM to the NMJ database, so you will be able to browse your Video Collection on your TV (DVD, BLU-RAY, CD etc...)
All movie files inside the Hard Disk of Popcornhour are well managed by NMJ directly so now I will not touch it.
Of course a Beta test is welcome
I will send you the exe when ready, prepare to make backups of the media.db
Thank you! |

Posted - 16 Nov 2010 : 22:42:41 Hi Ale,
you're faster ;-)
It's really great, that you will support NMJ directly. I'm still struggling with the VIDEO_ATTR and the difference between SHOW and VIDEO...
Need for a beta tester? ;-)
Best regards ternot

Right now I am able to export the collection to the database (including covers and fanart)...
Any suggestion is welcome

I have just take a look and seem promising!
I haven't much time to look at it right now, can you please keep me updated on that project?
Is there someone here that want maybe make a plugin to be able to read/populate this SQL Light database?
Thank you !
