It would be helpful if the duplicate movie scan option also includes a choice to scan for "original title" field match against title field -
It would be even nicer if 'custom 9' field - AKA's is also included in dupe search
This way movies which are repeated with alternate names can be spotted
Thanks
Keep up the good work

Currently there are 3 "duplicate movie" filters in the Special Filters tree. I think only one is enough. comparing by tile can give different movies with same title (Casino Royale 1967,2006) so it's not really a sufficient criterion. Comparing the year in addition to the tile can find duplicate movies. But there are exceptions (there are cases of two different films with same title and year: "Top of the World",1997). In this case the weblink can settle the matter. But what about movies imported from two different sites (for example imdb and dvdempire)?
but those cases are very rare. most of times this rule is correct: Duplicate movie=(same weblink) or (same title and year).

Also the "Web Link" field can be included in the comparison when searching for duplicates.

exactly what I was going to request..I use the IMDB link as a unique identifier and using it to find duplicates would be a very nice option. As mentioned, a search to find a duplicate in a particular field would do that nicely. That query should be fairly standard?

Thank you for the suggestion, I will try to do it,

Ale
