As the title says, it would be nice to be able to import DVD movies from ripped ISO files.

I think that isn't a good idea extract the content of an ISO file to scan it (As alessio said, that process is too slow, and u need a a lot of free space on your HDD to extract a DVD or a BD).

But imho, maybe Alessio can try to integrate a Virtual-DRIVE to mount an ISO IMAGE File, Scan for its content, and Unmount.

There are several free Software that can be used. The best would be to start Mount/unmount process by a command line.

Not Tested, but here there are 2 free software:

Or for a more Professional software, we can try with DAEMON TOOL LITE (Free)

Thank you for the link,

I have take a look and if I have correctly understand I can *extract* the iso file in a folder wirh 7zip and then I can read it, but its too slow I think. If you have several ISO file will be a pain unzip all of them, one by one of course, and reading the content.

Thank you very much for your reply.

After some research I think this can maybe help you:

Apparently you can find the way to read ISO images in 7-zip source code.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, I haven't reply because I haven't a solution yet for this. I mean that i can read ISO files and I can create a movie in the database, but I cannot go "inside" the ISO to read the DVD properties.
