2. The whole thing (scanning) has become tedious. To import, now we need even more clicks:
A. Click to drop down Add Movies B. Click to Select Scan Your Dev C. Click to Select Scan Your Dev AGAIN D. Click to Select Start Scan (If proper folder is already there) E. Click to Verify Search Completed F. Click to Add Movies to Database G. Click to Verify Import Complete H. Click to Close the Scanner
As I see it: steps B-C could be one, as before (from Dropdown List). step D should autostart (scan last folder used or the default folder). step E should be gone. step G, as above.
3. The SYD window should be either on top or closed.
4. Keyboard shortcuts are always welcome.
5. Please check the bugs mentioned here: http://www.binaryworks.it/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9005 |

Posted - 18 Mar 2012 : 23:02:49 The Button "ADD MOVIES TO DATABASE" should be disabled if list is empty, otherwise you press it and it tries to add nothing. |

Posted - 08 Mar 2012 : 14:50:43 what i mean is that if you set a path of a folder in the device scanner, it changes even if you don't use the device scanner, for example if you read a movies' file by clicking "Read File" in the ADD/EDIT Movie Information window. for example if i set in the scanner device a folder : C:\Movies, and than i add a movie manualy to the database, double click on it, press "Read Files", choose path of this file, for example : C:\Movies\The.Tree.of.Life.(2011).DVDRip.XviD-MAXSPEED than on the next time i open the device scanner, this path will be in the "Folder to scan" line: C:\Movies\The.Tree.of.Life.(2011).DVDRip.XviD-MAXSPEED not: C:\Movies. the path of the device scanner changes even if you don't use it, it remembers the path of last scan you've made using "Read Files" option. |

Posted - 07 Mar 2012 : 18:46:47 Yes, I saw your suggestions. If I understand correctly, you are asking for a folder to be monitored for new files (perhaps when XMM starts). I think this is different to the standard Import function. The one does not negate the other. |

Posted - 07 Mar 2012 : 15:07:16 comment on point D.: as i suggested in http://www.binaryworks.it/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9064 a default folder should be an option, because sometimes if you add file by using "read files" for a specific film, that same path is automatically saved as the path of the device scanner, in this case you need to choose the folder you want to scan in device scanner each time you read a file separately. |
