Posted - 09 May 2012 : 10:45:23 Is it possible to have on the ADD/EDIT Information page "Extra 3" a place where the user could enter the MovieID numbers of all of the Sequel Movies.
In the Advaced grid view where the sort is by MovieID, and a Movie is being listed that has sequels and the Original box is checked this process would begin. The sequels listed in the 1st movie in the series, are displayed right below the 1st Movie. This continues until all movies in the Sequel list have been displayed on the Grid.
Once the sequels have been placed on the Advanced Grid, populating the rest of the Grid continues as normal with the MovieID of the next Movie that would normally follow the 1st Movie if it didn't have a list of Sequels.
Only the Movie that has the Original box (on the Extra 3 page) checked, can have a list of MovieID's that will be processed in the using the method described above.
In the Options area, there needs to be a color associated with the 1st Movie and its Sequels. There also needs to be an option check box to enable this feature. I can see the case where this would be beneficial in the TV Shows area as well. Case in point: Star Trek, Star Trek TNG, Star Trek DS9 and Star Trek Voyager. As well as Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe.

But I think nehickel thinks of the internal MovieID when one of these related movies is in database. For this there is already existing a feature request. |

Posted - 11 May 2012 : 09:43:29 Hello Ale, maybe this could be done with the IMDB script. http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0325980/trivia?tab=mc If you take a look at this link, there is the 'Followed by' section. It lists all sequels of a film. |

Its a good suggestion, I don't know exactly how to do it in a "automatic" way (I mean that should work automatically when you import info from internet).
