Siete d'accordo? Ciao a tutti!
@JDommi As already noted, only one accent is enough to make XMM search impossible with IMDB ... ... For example, a movie such as "La Traversée de Paris" is absolutely unrecognizable (also manually inserting as many details as possible). Since IMDB is the most complete script for XMM (and since the original title search is the only reliable ...), it would be nice for the programmer Ale to tell us what he was going to do about it, why the (serious) problem has never been solved and especially if it is solvable or not.. ... Do you agree? Hello everyone! |

Posted - 22 Sep 2017 : 12:03:16 It's not as easy as it sounds to be... You don't only have to exchange these components in all the forms of program but you have to change all specific settings of them like the position. Sometimes you always have to change the code of processing them. For a simple program of mine with about 50 components I have quitted and began to completely rewrite the whole code. And XMM has a lot more components.

Posted - 22 Sep 2017 : 11:08:44 Grazie Jommi. |

Posted - 22 Sep 2017 : 11:05:41 Thank you JDommi. I do not understand why the programmer neglects an element as important as accent recognition. And since I'm not an expert, I do not understand why it's so difficult to exchange all code components to unicode, or because it was not done right away. Since the program, if more carefully followed by the programmer, would be good and full of functions I can only join those who have said "It's a pity ..."

But for me IMDB will find "La Traversée de Paris" without problems! Especially this special char é makes problems on returning: there is allways added a blank after it so that you will get "La Traversé e de Paris". I already have searched for the bug in in the script but I haven't found the mistake. All other special chars seem to be okay - and if one is missing it easily can be added to the code.
