Okay I still cannot get the actors scripts to work in V7 but it does seem to work in V8 therefore my next question is - Is there a simple way to take the actor information downloaded in V8 and import it into Ver 7 so it can be accessed by my nmtserver skin for the popcornhour.

A working script would be great, in the meantime for anyone with the same problem, I think I have got some info in by running v8 getting all the actor info into the database, then
1) copying the database to a new file,
2 opening the copied database in access
3) go to the people table
4) delete the last two columns as they dont exist in version 7
5) export the people table to a csv text file
6) create a copy of the version 7 database with a new name
7) open the version 7 copy in access
8) open the actor table
9) select any existing data and delete it
10) import the previously exported csv file into the actor table
11) save the database.
12) create a new .photos folder to match your copied database name
13) copy all the images from the v8 photos folder into the folder you have just created matching your new database name.
You can use this new version 7 database in your nmtserver in the usual way and will then have the actor info available.
Its all a bit of dirty fix and a working v7 script would be much simpler. I havent tested it all fully but it seems to have worked. |
